Jon and Chris have been having a great time going through dad's old things. Jon found a box that even mom didn't realize that he had. It was things that been his mothers that were shipped to him after she died in the 80's. Probably the best treasure in that box was a bundle of letters that dad had written to his parents during WWII when he was in the navy.
These are some great old family photos.

Dad and mom wouldn't meet until the fall of 1957 at a dinner party. Although both married to different people. In the spring of 1958 at the spring dance in Rockford Illinois my dad walked up to my mom and said, "You are the most beautiful woman here." At the new years eve dance that year my mom was pregnant in 1958 with Charlie and although they both liked to dance my mom didn't want to dance because she was almost due with the baby. So my dad sat with mom and they talked that whole night. |
